From their Facebook event listing located @

Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Sammy's Tap & Grill, 2235 Avent Ferry Rd, Raleigh, North Carolina 27606

We have organized this panel to discuss a third rail many are afraid to discuss. In a day when our health care systems have been shown to be buried in cronyism, now is a good time to revisit this important issue as it is a matter of life and death. The Panel will be led by Dr. Byrd. Dr. Byrd will be joined by TJ Johnson, Vice-President of the NC Federation of Republican Men and owner of Johnson Utility & Grading. Stephen Xavier is also joining the panel. Mr. Xavier is a long time republican party leader and is the lead consultant for the current medical cannabis legislation in the NC GA. Rounding out our Panel is our Education Director, former Legislator The Honorable Glen Bradley. Mr. Bradley is an IT communications Technician and owner of Bradley Voice and Data and is also a former Marine Corp Intel Analyst. Mr. Bradley also serves as NC-RLC's 2nd Vice Chairman. Some special guests will be in attendance and given a minute to address the crowd. Free attendance and free food while supplies last.

Sick and disabled people of many types benefit from this plant and it's derived substances yet in NC the medical use is limited by several factors and continues to criminalize harmless constitutional uses despite modern science and the basic right to self-ownership. This sort of discrepancy in justice undermines relations and trust between the people and their government and further highlight the plutocracy we live under.

Our chapter business meeting will open the meeting and is typically very short. Must be a dues paid member to participate in the meeting, guests welcome. Dues are $20 per year. Sign up at

From our national chapter website "statement of principles': "We recognize the harm that drug abuse causes, but also that the ‘drug war’ has been ineffective and has led to terrible abuses of personal liberty. We favor flexible alternatives at the state and community level to combat the harmful aspects of drug use."
"Peace and love. Be well. Be involved." ~ Dr. Robert Melamede
