Hello everyone, I wanted to give you the update of what was discussed at the Central Piedmont Meeting, the 14th of July.

The first and foremost reason for the meeting was to come together as a group and to work on ways to promote our cause.

We came up with the following:
1.) Letter writing/email campaign to legislators and media
2.) Cards, brochures, bumper stickers etc.
3.) Newspapers, radio, tv, billboards, etc.
4.) Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc
5.) Flea markets, Farmers markets, concerts, festivals etc (be present at large gatherings to pass out info)
6.) Ask businesses to display our cards/ brochures and other printed materials.

Other topics of discussion:

1.) Learn what each person is capable of and willing to do
2.) Set up long and short term goals
3.) Encourage people to get out of their comfort zones to talk to people in person.
4.) Find ways to get donations
5.) What is the political situation in NC right now.

Now, I want to make perfectly clear that this is not just the Central Piedmont Group we are talking about here. We need everyone to sign up to do their part in this effort to get out the NCCPN.ORG site and to share the information of HOW we can get our medicine safely and legally.

This is also, not just for patients who want their natural herbal medicine, but, for caretakers, parents, and advocates as well.
We need all people to come together to get MMJ legalized for all patients of North Carolina.

Stay tuned to see the progress we can make together in our efforts for a safe, alternative, all natural, God given, herb that works miracles.

Thanks Kevin, With the earlier post, there have been cards made up to hand out. This was stated in an earlier post with a suggestion for anyone who wants cards to hand out that were not at the meeting to PM me with your address and I will send out enough cards for you to hand out. Only 4 people have done that. So with that, I would like to say, it is really easy to hand out cards to either people you know and to take a risk and hand out cards to who you think will benefit from being a part of the NCCPN.ORG site. Please, if you want cards to be mailed to you, just PM me and I will be glad to send them out. For those of you who did send me your request, I am sending them out Thursday. Thank you. B

Thank you Beccie! I've been wondering what I missed at the meeting. I wish I could have gone, but since I couldn't, this detailed update is awesome!

This is just to let you know we have another meeting on the 18th of August. Please try to attend if it works out for you. Come one, come all. We need every body we can get to make some waves out there.

HI again, it's just me. I have elected myself as delegator for this group. All those in favor say Yeah all those opposed say nay. I am prepared to take this on and to delegate some things that can be done to help us fulfill our goals, both long term and short term. I am on here everyday, all morning. I would like to help our group get help from within our group to accomplish the goals we have set forth. I know there are people out there especially in our group who are getting no direction and to keep them enthusiastic and to keep up their energy in this fight, I think we need someone who can delegate and be able to discern the gifts of different people. Please let me know if this works for anyone in the group, that I will take on delegator. OK. Go vote All those in favor, all those opposed, I won't take it personally but, I really would like to do what I do best and that is to delegate and make sure that some of these goals are met.
