BREAKING FROM NC:
Hot on the heels of the Texas Democratic Party’s endorsement of marijuana decriminalization, the North Carolina Democratic Party endorsed two resolutions in support of marijuana law reform of their own. On Saturday, June 16th, the party held their state convention in Raleigh, NC. During this meeting they passed two reform minded resolutions, one calling for the legalization of medical marijuana and one for the industrial cultivation of hemp.

So does this mean that HB 577 still has a chance this session? Or is this in preparation for introduction of a new bill? Maybe Perry has some insight into this news?

I have been asking nearly the same question so i wanted to save you a few hours of searching the net. there is still hope for bill h577 to pass but right now it is stuck in the rules and calender of the house but it has been in there for a while. they could pull it off the floor and it could pass in november. i dont know wheather or not that will happen. with the dem (and possably the rep. not sure i read it but im not sure how true it is) supporting this resalution i have a feeling that it will be at most 2013. what we need is as many backers as possable and them all to call there reps. if this would happen then maby in nov. this year if enought people back this they have to do something. spread the word about the petitions and the cause.ihope i have helped together we can win this war on medicine. if anyone finds any info wrong or outdated please let me know.

This is all great news and also the time to really put the pressure on. One thing I have done is create business cards on vista print. They have a special running right now, 250 cards $10.00 with free shipping. You cant beat it. I have given out almost all 250 in about two months. You can say anything you want. Mine go straight to the point Top as bold letters " North Carolina Cannabis Patients Network". The second line asks to " Help stop the suffering of thousands of people in North Carolina. Please join NCCPN and sign our petition supporting HB 577". This works! People have something they take home with them that tells them exactly what to do. I also like to wear my NCCPN t shirt and when people comment ( and they do a lot ), I had them a card.
We will win. What we need now is numbers and money. They know the benefits of MMJ. The facts are out there and even thou they look and act really stupid, they aren't. It all about the money and control. We can make this happen sooner than a lot of people think.

I have friends in both Cali. and CO. who have been fighting for the cause for many years. I received calls from them saying they heard about our efforts here in NC. National recognition is a powerfull thing in this fight. The more comments and people joining the cause the more interseted the national organizations become. They will send experienced people here to help us. So please keep the comments coming and get anyone and everyone to join NCCPN and sign the petition. This fight is getting good now. peace
