Welcome KJ, I'm a fairly new member myself. You'll find a lot of good information and understanding here. And people working hard to bring our concerns into debate within the state political system.
Welcome again!

I'm not sure where the correct placement of my question is, so I'm asking here. If I need to ask elsewhere, just let me know!
I've tried several times, with several different pictures, on two different browsers, to upload a profile pic. Each time I click upload, it brings me to a white screen & then goes nowhere. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks!

Welcome KJ, you will find a lot of info on this site and sometimes you will need help as have I to get some kind soul which you will find to help you find your way around. There are many, many kind souls on here just looking to get some medical relief with MMJ. I hope you feel welcome here and don't hesitate to ask questions. Anytime.

Hi again KJ, I had to have help uploading my picture, but E helped me. She had me save my picture to my desktop and then I just had to cut and paste. Use your right click button to show cut, go to where you are going to paste it, then right click and paste. Let me know if this works.

Hello all.
My name is Mike and I am a new member to NCCPN. I am not currently a marijuana smoker but I think the restrictions place on citizens liberties associated with the not just harmless but beneficial plant is insane. The money spent fighting this plant and the folks that have a true medical need for it is shameful.
I have a new start up Company called QUICK-SHAW. I pull mobile billboards behind small gas powered scooters. I would be proud to tote an ad for NCCPN. One thing you need is more exposure. I think most reasonable people support this issue but are not connected to the efforts underway to change the laws here in NC.

Well let me be the first to say Welcome! and make sure you join up with your local chapter for local events. We are doing big things here and the tide has turned in our favor. I just hope we can get more people willing to promote the cause. It is a shame to see suffering people denied perfectly legitimate relief through a natural substance.

Hi Mike, welcome to the site. Your first post is remarkable in my opinion. I think you or whoever you get to ride around with NCCPN info on their scooter is very important to us all, and I for one want to thank you if you do that. I am going to give you my Karma for the day. What a great way to get our info and name out there. If you find any business owners that will place info out there concerning MMJ that would be great too. I think Chip can help you out emensely with information as well as stickers and such. I wish you all the best. B

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I was hoping to hear that NJ decriminalized yesterday but apparently there was a delay.
I see there is some interest in potentially running a sign on my ad-scooter. There are 2 types of signs I run. The tail sign is basically a 2ft high by 3 foot wide sign. The cost to have a sign for one side made up is about 45 bucks, two sides 90. The other sign I can run is pulled by the scooter on a trailer and the sign is apps 5ft high by 4ft wide. I have not priced this sign yet as the trailer is only 80% complete but will be finished very soon. I am not certain who is "in charge" of marketing in the group but if there is funding to purchase the signs and cover some small expenses like gas and perhaps my lunch. I will pull the sign gratis for a few hours.

I again am not sure where to post this, so I'll follow-up here since my first post on the subject was here. I have tried uploading a profile pic on three different browsers, and now I'm getting a message stating "photo upload limit reached". Is there a limit on the website? I haven't uploaded a single pic (obviously), so I'm not sure what to make of that. At this point, I'll just apologize for being another gray box, but it's not for lack of trying.

KJ, this happened to me also when the photo I was trying to upload was 1.5Mb. I took the same photo and used photoshop to make it smaller (100kb) and it uploaded instantly. There may be a size limit or speed issue when uploading to the website. But for a profile pic, a very small picture size should be sufficient and it seems to work better.

Thanks for the info. It's smaller than the max sz limit, but I'll try to find one even smaller. Thanks again!

Hi, I go by Kakalak online. I am a medical cannabis breeder from North Carolina that moved out west to live my dream of being a top notch breeder. I really miss NC and hope things change there soon so I can move back. Great site you all have here! If there is anything I can do let me know.

Aloha,
When my wife and I moved to Hawaii a few years ago, little did we know that we would start our own business certifying patients to get medical cannabis cards. But when circumstances forced us to consider it, we transformed the 20 foot Minnie Winnie I had inherited from my grandfolks into the Big Island Mobile Clinic. With my wife at reception in front under a 10x10 canopy and me inside, we were a medical office on wheels, providing natural & conventional health care from South Point, throughout Puna and up the Hamakua Coast.
We started at Farmer's Markets, but soon found ourselves invited to set up in local community areas and churches. Our featured service was medical cannabis card certifications. Our business flowered until the state shut our mobile clinic down, so we adapted and now have 3 offices on Big Island and one on Kauai.
Since I am also a musician, I have recreated our experience (with a fair amount of creative license) in song: Baked Spaghetti Western
But now to the point, my wife misses "home", so we're moving back to North Carolina. We're excited that the medical cannabis movement is actively pursuing legislation in North Carolina, both for our sake and the sake of its residents. Despite the many challenges of running a hemp-friendly medical practice, I have never enjoyed being a physician more nor felt I was providing such a meaningful service. I've worked in family practices, urgent cares and state prisons, and have witnessed both the injustices stemming from "war on drugs" and the horrors of addiction to hard core drugs (including prescribed pharmaceuticals!) We witness miracles on a daily basis in our island clinics and pledge to do all we can to see them happen in North Carolina. Just had to bump up this song I love it
