Wish I could get that through the governments head. I guess that is why I am here. So I'm in. Looking for a ride to Raliegh for the big movement.  Hey Debi, where are you. Are you ok? I would love to hear from you so we all know you are ok. Wanted to share that I went to my dr. today and we both agreed and it sucks to be me. No really that is what he agreed to. So we are all in this together. For whatever reason, we have been CHOSEN to put up a fight to beat this, the pain, and all the fear that goes with that. I know you fight, I am fighting right along beside you. I am new to NCCPN and new to NC. I recently moved here from Florida and was surprised to find the NCCPN when searching for medical marijuana in NC.

Hello NCPPN patrons. I am a PHD student, studying public administration. I am a huge supporter of individual choice and thereby support the concept of legalizing medical marijuana. My goal in my next 3 years of study is to conduct research associated with marijuana policy and its effects on local economies. If any one has any ideas, networks, or information that may help in my quest to contribute unbiased, quality research to the field I would greatly appreciate it. As I see it we are all in this together and we should all use our individual capacities and skills in order to help maintain our individual civil rights and the liberal foundations of our Constitution.
I am new to the site as well so please any direction towards valuable information is welcomed.

Beccie, thank you for your concern. I fell backward from 6 ft up about 10 years ago. Dumb me, I thought that the pain resulting from that was terrible, but since the spinal fusion L4-S1 and lamenectomy,the pain is 10 fold. The screws holding the rods in place never grew to the bone. So when I move, the metal around my spine moves. As for your question about moving, my oldest son takes care of me and his 2 teenage brothers, we live in his house. But my sons are willing to drive me any distance to help me. There is no limit to what my boys would do for me, but they just feel helpless. I don't want to die, although I can't lie, thought of freedom from this constant pain looks mighty good sometimes. I just really thought that if I told a hospital that, they legally had to keep me, and they could observe that my blood pressure is rarely under 152/105, a sign of severe pain, and maybe find someone to help me.

So great to have you aboard LeFey. I too moved from Florida, but, I went to PA first before here. Where were you from. Boy you did good to get out of Florida. I guess I would ask you what you would want to use MM for or are you an advocate for someone you love. I put up a couple of different sites that have places for you to sign petitions, etc, and also a site to just click and support different agencies. Check them out. There are so many different sites where we can spread our support. This is a great one so you are lucky to have found it. Do you think you will be able to go to Raleigh? Where about are you in the state? Welcome aboard. I am pretty new here too, so, because I have been so welcome, I want to share that with you. The same goes for OURIGHT. It is so good to hear from you, I am glad you wrote. Now that I know why you are in so much pain, it gives me an idea of the severity. My gracious, what a bad trip you have been on. And for the drs. to dismiss you is abominable. BAD DR!!! BAD BAD DR!!!. Ok for the next questions, what kind of dr are you looking for, specifically. I have been to a few of them since I got here 3 years ago. Are you on disability, medicare,??? We have a pain management dr. here in Elkin, as well as a Chiropractor/acupuncture, great guy. Tell me what you need. If you can get a ride here in Jonesville, our house is open to you and your sons if the ride is too long. My wife and I would love to have you. Again, with more info I can help. I know I can and would suggest that anyone else on this site than can help would. We have to stick together and support each other. Sound good, well then, let's do it. Let me know ok what drs. you need. Beccie

Yes it would be just me, however, things look like they may have changed for me. You never know with Fibro. I had to go to the dentist this morning for teeth pain and found that I need either a root canal or pull. That is next week so really doesn't count, but looking at the schedule of dr. appt. I have 2 that week and this trip to Raleigh would count as 3. I just can't muster enough to do all of this in one week. So I DO APPRECIATE you and your offer, but, I will have to beg out of this one, and make the phone call instead. I'm sorry if I caused you any problems with this. I will be there in spirit as this ole body just won't let me there in person. Your kindness does not go unnoticed. Becce

its ok i know fibro pain. both me and my mother have it. it can come and go very quickly and can put you out if you over do it. if you are feeling up to it as the date draws near let me know

Thanks for the understanding and if you and your mom have it, you know what it is like. How long have you known you had fibro? Are you on disability and if that is too personal, sorry. I want to know all I can about fibro patients because I don't know who else has it. My mom may have, but she and my brothers have RA and lost 3 Aunts to lupus. I do know I don't have that but, that is where I started my search. The whole mom side thing is remarkable with ALL the immune deficient diseases, symptoms and other names they put on things, including MS, Chrons, etc. So what ever you would share would be appreciated, maybe we can start a new site that talks about the evils of fibro? Soooo welcom home Scott. I guess I would have to ask why did you come back. Not that we don't need your support, heavens no, but you had it so good and went where there was the help. My sister lives in Sac. and I am going out there in Oct and we are going to SF while I am there. I want them to be handing it out like candy when I get there. Is Oct. a good time. lol. I have had a hard time finding any mm here,luckily I don't use much and a little goes a long way, but, I so much want to be able to go to my dr and get a dose. How expensive is it anyway. do you mind if I pick your brain every now and then? If you read my stuff, I am always asking questions and sharing as much about myself as I can. I figure if we share info, we don't have to spend the energy that we don't have to find the answers to questions already answered. i have only known for a short time. since i was about twelve i had unexplained "random" pain and none of the doctors could figure it out. that was over ten years ago now. my mom got diagnosed when she was like twenty i think. it hard to diagnose cuz there is no tests and doctors are just starting to realize what it really is
