I am shocked, and I hope it is true. We have 17 members and nearly 3300 guest online.

If this is true, please go to our social page and join us. With so many members, we are making an impact.

I have been told that the "blow-back has been so strong that they are trying to find the best way to respond. Please, call the Speaker's office and ask for a meeting. Someone was told yesterday that I had been offered several opportunities to meet, NOT!!!

Please comment and let the people make their will known!

We have 534 guest and 28 members online.

Let us make a plan..this afternoon at 2:30, begin calling 919.733.3451..that is Speaker Tillis Office.

The person who answers will be William Morales; he is a disabled marine.

ASK HIM IF HE MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR the PRESIDENT of NCCPN to speak with the SPEAKER? If not, we will not stop until an appointment is made.

Harrassment? ONE CALL from everyone is harrassment PDF Print E-mail

I have been trying to take some time to cool off after the action of Tim Moore and Paul Stam; but I find it impossible!

I plan to call both on Tuesday to express my extreme displeasure and I plan to make this public knowledge. I have had some incredible contacts from various media in the past 36 hours..enough to make a politician squirm when they actually realize the "IMPACT" their thoughtless "foot in mouth" will be for the party and anyone in the party with intentions of seeking higher office.

The only way to reach someone as arrogant as Moore and Stam; go to their boss and complain. I really cannot believe Speaker Tillis would condone this kind of remark to the press; and I think it is serious enough, especially if ENOUGH people find out about it, to warrant "extraordinary intervention" to stop the hemorrhage. Please ask if there is any way forward?

Please, remember to be civil when you call or write, and after you write/call, we must allow time for a response before second or third calls. Just in case they want to "kill this bill this year, I want to begin reminding them now that work has already begun on the new bill, and we want to keep them apprised of the progress and ask for their input.

Welcome to the new Cannabis movement. The one thing that the "phony" hearing in Raleigh has shown is that there are really MANY people working on this issue, and when we speak from the same MIC, the message is loud and clear! We will not be stopped! For the sake of unity, let us join in one voice with many organizations. Since the medical model is seen as the most urgent; nccpn has as it's name implies "patients and caregivers" waiting for the moral right to choose our own medicine. We intend to keep the people updated on changes or comments that legislators make on this issue

Please, we welcome and request your assistance; NC Normal, MPP, CCC, LI, 420 and all others with an interest in our cause. This is the most non-partisan issue ever; and the LAW MUST CHANGE!

The most effective way to express your opinion is by telephone. The numbers for Stam, Moore, Blust and Tillis are:

Rep Paul Stam: 919.733.2962

Rep Tim Moore: 919.733.4838

Speaker Thom Tillis: 919.733.3451

Rep Blust: 919.733.5781

Please call on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

The Way Forward PDF Print E-mail

First, thank everyone for their dedication in the face of ignorant politicians, and I do mean ignorant. Remember that at one time, YOU probably were told it was EVIL also.

Times have changed. Just because we don't dress like politicians or mafia folks do doesn't mean we don't deserve human respect; something not yet evident to those in the marbled halls. The ones who do are not yet in power; but they are listening. Remain, unlike Rep Paul Stam, respectful and civil. Do not stoop to his level.

I must have admit that I have less respect for my Republican friends now. Like many of their counterparts in the Democratic Party, their is a disconnect between them and the people they represent. There are too many of them for at least some of them to have been affected by the illnesses and relief Cannabis brings. I know, because they have admitted it to me in private. Their comments are: "You're doing the RIGHT thing, keep it up. Then they open the door and "explain that they were obligated to listen to me."

That said, Randy Voller, the new Chair of the Democratic Party intends to "educate" the public about what went down. As he said in his acceptance speech, the things "WE" think are important to the people is what he plans to pursue. Chief among them is the callous disregard for the patients and veterans who are being treated like criminals here while their use of Cannabis which is protected in 18 other states.

Stay tuned and keep the pressure up to have the press report the comments of Dr. Peter Pandorf and Theresa Erling, RN who spoke of her experience with cancer.

Comments are welcomed and any contact with news welcomed
