PLEASE HELP ME TO KEEP UP..IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT YOU THINK WE ALL NEED TO KNOW, COMMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE.
Thanks to many, many new members and WORKERS, the momentum has shifted in our direction. If you do nothing else after reading this, get one new body with a name and address to join nccpn. On the last email blast from me, we had over 650 listed members. Others are joining daily. We are working to establish "centers of action" for different areas. It takes time so be patient as we go forth. Our new Secretary is doing much to create a database for us and the webmaster has continued to improve the site. Please note that expertise, when donated, is a valuable gift to any organization. We all appreciate everyone's work.
Besides membership, the best alternative for resurrecting HB 577 is by public pressure. How many peole in your family or household feels the same way about this issue. Help them join, and help them by adding their name to the petition. We are approaching 10,000 signatures and some are out of state, but the majority are tar heels. Rep. Alexander has made contact with a person who is tracking those who join to point them toward nccpn.
The CHAT room was busy night before last. Many subjects came up but the main disadvantage is keeping focus. For this reason, we are planning a meeting far in advace at the central location of Statesville. Keep in touch on the web site and make plans now to fill the place to overflowing. Nothing excites a cause like "like minded people meeting in one place", so make plans to join us.
Also remember to keep the speakers town halls in mind. Any time one is close enough for someone to attend, speak up and perhaps others will join you. Ask "when can we expect the health committee to review the latest scientific evidence that cannabis "can be used to treat tumors, not just the symptoms?"
On the 27th of the month, I will join a panel discussion at UNC-CH on Cannabis. Will give more details as they become available.
Please donate to our cause. A financial report will be made available soon. |

Thanks for the comment and for what it is worth, if you can schedule a venue, I will personally come to speak and to help you organize.
I have a great interest in UNC-C, my daughter is a student there..she can be your first member of the UNC Charlotte Chapter of NCCPN.
You do not need to be a patient or caregiver to a patient to join nccpn. You only have to support our effort to make Cannabis available to those in medical need.
Good luck Perry
Ron Paul has the only position on Cannabis. He deserves the recognition.
Will be posting more as they become available.
Don't have firm plans yet, but am considering Washington this coming Monday morning for the vet march. They have been advised to not show up.
Stupid me just went to our video page and saw that the town hall meeting in Asheboro has been added. This was done by Chuck Toast, another talented volunteer who uses his commercial talent for our cause. We are grateful for his donation of time and talent.
You may want to speak with Dusty Trice. He worked for MPP and is still involved.
